Slovenia's thermal and mineral springs rise mostly in Pannonian Slovenia, the plains and low hills of the north-east, and also in the south-east and below the Alps, and the spa resorts built around them are known as terme or toplice. Most pair indoor thermal pools with outdoor ones that open in summer.

Are the saunas in Slovenian thermal resorts textile-free?
At Terme Olimia and Terme Čatež, yes. Terme Olimia's saunas are entered without swimsuits, sitting on a sheet or towel in the Finnish sauna, and the Wellness Riviera sauna area at Terme Čatež is a nudist zone for adults from 15. At Terme Lendava the Grozd natural thermal pool is naturist from 15 September to 15 May.
Do children pay at Terme Olimia and Terme Čatež?
Children under 5 go free at both, and child tickets cover ages 5 to 13. The saunas at Terme Čatež are for adults from 15.
Is the outdoor riviera at Terme Čatež open in winter?
No. The summer outdoor riviera closed on 20 September 2026 and reopens in April 2027; the indoor Winter Thermal Riviera, at 31 to 36 °C, is open every day.
Are there adults-only thermal baths in Slovenia?
Yes. Rimske Terme in Rimske Toplice, which the operator calls adults only, admits guests from 14, and at Terme Vivat in Moravske Toplice the black thermal water pools at 39 °C are in a separate area for adults only. The Arbora Spa saunas at Terme Dobrna are from 18.
