About Zdravilišče Radenci Thermal Oasis
Karl Henn first tasted the Radenci mineral water as a student, came back in 1865 to buy the land around the spring, and after four years of work had it flowing from an oak pipe driven 17 metres into the ground. He bottled 37,000 bottles in his first year, and the resort says the water was drunk at the Vatican and at the Viennese court. His son finished the indoor bathing house Henn had planned, and in 1882 Slatinski Radenci opened with 11 bath cabins and 12 guest rooms. It took 79 guests that first year. Guests can still pour a glass straight from the spring in the Health Lounge.
