The Helius Day Spa of the Grand Hotel Terme di Stigliano, near Canale Monterano, sells non-guests a day ticket that takes in its saunas, indoor pool and the resort's thermal park. Two ponds of sulfur and iodine thermal water at 27 to 35 °C lie in 20 hectares of grounds, on a site the operator says was built over Roman temples.

About Terme di Stigliano

The hotel beside the baths is a historic residence the Altieri princes built in the 18th century, and it still has a small private church. The day spa stands a few steps from what the operator calls the Temple of Apollo, and its sweating grotto is modeled on the old Roman baths. One thermal tub looks onto the river, and a 500-square-meter grove of giant bamboo rises to 10 m in the middle of the thermal park. The resort also keeps a thermal tub and a shower for dogs.
