Weidener Thermenwelt

A municipal leisure and thermal bath in Weiden whose large thermal pool runs from the hall to the outside and holds 31 °C thermal water from a deep borehole. Around it are a 25 m sports pool, a 107 m slide, a wild-water channel and a sauna world with eight saunas from 55 to 105 °C.

About Weidener Thermenwelt

The Weiden-Sauna takes its name from the town: inside hang a picture of Weiden and a weave of willow branches, and about 55 people fit in for an infusion. Out in the sauna garden, the Schneckenhaus is a rest room shaped like a snail shell, with a waterfall, birch trunks and 25 loungers and hanging chairs, and after dark the garden is lit in colour. In the bathing area, a graduation house trickles 5 to 9% brine from the ceiling over blackthorn twigs, open to bath and sauna guests alike. The herb sauna's infusions are poured from a copper kettle.
