Fackelmann Therme Hersbruck
A thermal bath on the Pegnitz meadows at Hersbruck, open since December 2004, built over its own spring: state-recognised healing water rises from 650 m with 14.2 g of minerals per litre, and fills two indoor pools at about 34 °C and an outdoor pool at about 36 °C. The same ticket covers a sports and leisure pool with an 81 m slide; the sauna park has seven saunas and a 36 °C outdoor pool.

About Fackelmann Therme Hersbruck
The healing water comes from Buntsandstein rock directly beneath the building, and the operator says it is more than 40,000 years old and at least partly of marine origin, water from an ancient sea. Indoors there is underwater music and a softly lit grotto. Four of the seven saunas stand outside in log-cabin style, and from above the panorama sauna there is a view over the Hersbrucker Schweiz. In summer the Therme opens straight onto the Strudelbad, an open-air pool with an unheated 50 m lane pool and lawns the Pegnitz runs through.
