Cassiopeia Therme
A thermal bath beside the remains of what the operator calls the largest Roman bath north of the Alps, fed by an artesian spring of low-mineral thermal water. The domed Kuppelbad, the marble bath and the outdoor pool look out over the spa park and Baden castle, and a Roman-Irish bath runs a textile-free sequence of warm air, steam and pools ending in a 12 °C plunge.

About Cassiopeia Therme
The spring rises under its own pressure at a little over 400 metres above sea level, and about half a million litres a day have flowed from it since the Romans found it. The Kuppelbad won the German steel construction prize. In the marble bath, columns ring the pool. The sauna infusions use essential oils dripped onto balls of ice that melt slowly on the hot stove, and an open bookshelf lets you take a book or leave one.
