Balinea Therme
Bad Bellingen's first thermal spring was tapped on 28 November 1956, and three springs from 600 to 1,200 m now feed about 1,000 m² of pools at 34 to 36 °C with sodium-calcium-chloride water. A 600 m² textile-free sauna park with five saunas has a screened naturist lawn and outdoor pool, and there is a Dead Sea salt grotto.

About Balinea Therme
The thermal water turned up by accident: in 1955 Wintershall AG drilled here for oil, and a year later the municipality took over the borehole and set up a makeshift bath. The springs tapped since carry names, from the Markus spring of 1956 to the Dieter Hoffmann spring of 2019, and leave the ground at 36.5 to 39.8 °C. Besides sodium and calcium chloride, the water holds magnesium, bicarbonate, sulphate and carbonic acid, and the operator says the high mineral content makes you float more easily. One pool holds untreated native thermal water, and the sauna has a hot tub called the fire pot.
