RupertusTherme
Opened in 2005, a brine bath where AlpenSole from the Bad Reichenhall salt works flows into pools of 2 to 12% salt, including a floating pool in an underground brine grotto. The textile-free Alpine sauna landscape has a wood-fired earth sauna, a salt-tunnel sauna and a natural pond, with a view of the Predigtstuhl from the thermal hall.

About RupertusTherme
The operator says the AlpenSalz has lain inside the Bavarian Alps for more than 250 million years; spring water dissolves it into brine, which is pumped from 450 m down. You go down into the brine grotto the way you would go into a mine. Three saunas are named after the mountains around the town: the Predigtstuhl, the Untersberg and the Staufen. The two-storey Finnish temple sauna seats 50. The bath is run by the Bavarian state spa company, owned by the Free State of Bavaria, Bad Reichenhall and Bayerisch Gmain.
