Fodele Beach
A sandy beach at the head of the bay of Fodele in Malevizi, west of Heraklion, with the Fodele Beach hotel on the shore. The village of Fodele inland has a museum dedicated to Domenikos Theotokopoulos, El Greco.

Expect the sea at about 26 °C in August and 16 °C in January, going by the 1991 to 2020 averages. The swimming season runs from May to November.

- Access
- The beach is at the Fodele Beach hotel in the bay of Fodele; the village of Fodele is inland. Malevizi had lifeguards on duty here from 1 June 2026, with a rescue boat (local press quoting the municipality).
- Public transport
- KTEL Heraklion-Lasithi runs a seasonal service from Heraklion bus station to Fodele Beach (2026 timetable from 11 May)
