Thermal baths in Vals
The village of Vals lies at about 1,250 m in the Valsertal, a side valley that climbs south from Ilanz in Grisons along the Valser Rhine. Therme Vals, Peter Zumthor's quartzite bath, is fed by the village's own warm spring, and day visitors book a slot in advance. Lake Zervreila, a reservoir under the pointed Zervreilahorn, lies about 9 km further up the valley, with walking paths along its shore.
