Bad Schinznach Aquarena Fun and Thermi Spa
Thermal baths in the park of Bad Schinznach, where hot sulphurous water first broke out of the ground in 1651; the operator calls it the strongest sulphur spring in Switzerland. The family Aquarena Fun has a 65 m grotto slide, a 25 m pool and a thermal pool that runs from indoors to outdoors, and the adults-only Thermi Spa sits beside it.

About Bad Schinznach Aquarena Fun and Thermi Spa
The spring that broke out after an Aare flood in 1651 was lost in 1670, when a second flood swept the buildings away and the river moved back. The Zurich bath digger Lienhard Bindschedler searched for years and found it again in the winter of 1691/92, and the parchment of 29 April 1696 granting its use still hangs at Bad Schinznach. The round building of 1824 to 1828, with bathing cabins and centrally heated guest rooms, became the landmark of the place, and in 1865 alone more than 40,000 baths were drawn. In the Gradierwerk of the Aquarena Sauna, brine trickles through blackthorn branches in the middle of the room and slowly crusts them with salt.
