ThermalBad Überkingen
The Sauerbrunnen spring at Überkingen was first recorded around 1200 and made the town a well-known spa in the 15th and 16th centuries. Six springs rise here today, and fresh spring water runs constantly into a therapy pool at about 34 °C and an outdoor pool at about 36 °C.

About ThermalBad Überkingen
Guests in the spring's heyday included Duke Albrecht of Bavaria and patrician families from Ulm and Augsburg, and many of their coats of arms still hang in the stairwell of the bath building and in the village church as thanks for a good cure. The water sparkles with carbon dioxide from deep underground and holds a little iron. Among the six springs, the Renata spring and the Josef-Therme are classed as thermal waters. In the Kurpark, water runs from a fountain temple down a dozen cascades, and an outsize sour-water jug recalls how the water was once carried away.
