Aqualon Therme

Bad Säckingen's thermal bath has six pools on about 1,000 m², including a 32 °C outdoor pool with a current channel and a Japanese pavilion with 34 °C water from the Fridolin spring, built as a tribute to the partner town of Nagai. Two unheated, chlorine-free natural pools sit in the bath area, one reserved for textile-free bathing, and the sauna world has a Japanese sauna village.

Public transport
CityBus stop a few metres from the entrance; the Gewerbeschule stop is 3 to 5 minutes' walk. Tickets with a WTV fare include bus and rail travel in the WTV area on the day.

Swimwear and rules
Swimwear in the thermal area, which includes the Black Forest textile sauna (60 °C). One pool of the natural bath is reserved for textile-free bathing; the other saunas of the sauna world are textile-free.

About Aqualon Therme

Bad Säckingen has been twinned with Nagai since 1983, and in the Japanese sauna village Nishikigoi koi swim in a fish pond. In the triple sauna house, the walls of the 70 °C salt-stone sauna are lined with real salt stones. The Black Forest sauna in the thermal area is panelled entirely in fir. After dark the outdoor pool is lit up.
