Balnéa
A thermal leisure complex in the Pyrenees with themed indoor and outdoor baths (Amerindian, Inca, Maya, Roman and Japanese) and a 25 m pool, all fed with sulphurous thermal water. The leisure pools are at most 1.30 m deep; the outdoor Maya baths look out over the mountains, and the Roman baths sit under a large glass dome.

About Balnéa
Each bath has its own set: solid wooden totems stand around the indoor Amerindian bath, the outdoor Inca bath is dressed as a temple with totems and statuettes, and the Maya space takes its design from Chichen Itza. Under the glass dome of the Roman baths, Romanesque vaults stand among megaliths. The 25 m Olympic pool opens straight onto a terrace facing the mountains. The sulphur in the water damages jewellery, so the operator advises taking off everything but gold.
