Thermal baths in Czechia
Spa care in the Czech lands goes back hundreds of years, and the spa towns grew up around natural mineral springs, with bathhouses, pump rooms, drinking halls and colonnades. In western Bohemia, Karlovy Vary, Mariánské Lázně and Františkovy Lázně form a spa triangle, and in July 2021 the three were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the Great Spa Towns of Europe. CzechTourism says that in the 19th century taking a cure in Bohemia was the talk of Europe's fashionable salons.
