Nea Chora
A town beach about 1 km west of the centre of Chania, reached along the coast road from the Venetian port, with a line of rocks about 200 m offshore. The neighbourhood's name means "new town": it was the first part of Chania built outside the Venetian walls.

- The Municipality of Chania says the beach is about 1 km west of the city centre and is reached on foot along the coastal road west from the Venetian port, through the Western Trench, or by taxi, car or bike. A Seatrac chair, run by the municipality, lets wheelchair users get into the sea on their own.
