Buxton is a spa town in Derbyshire, on the edge of the Peak District, about 33 km south-east of Manchester. Buxton Crescent Spa fills its thermal pool with the town's own mineral water. Poole's Cavern, a show cave you visit on a guided tour, is about 1 km to the south-west.
