About Bristol Community Sauna
The sauna stands on what was an overgrown former council car park behind St Anne's House, and local volunteers cleared the site, built the structures and laid the decking. The first sauna was custom-built with a large window over the green space and with physical access in mind. The operator suggests walking in through St Anne's Wood from Brislington, or from St George over Troopers Hill and through Crew's Hole. It all began with a single Instagram post that read 'SAUNA?'.
