Termas & Spa do Gerês (Águas do Gerês)
The Termas & Spa complex of Águas do Gerês, in the spa village inside the Peneda-Gerês National Park, sells a 90-minute pool, Turkish bath and gym circuit to day visitors. The spa is built around Gerês mineral water, a hyperthermal spring that rises at 50 °C.

About Termas & Spa do Gerês (Águas do Gerês)
At the centre of the Termas is the classic thermal cure: 14 days that include drinking the water, with treatments starting only once a thermal doctor has prescribed them. The spa ties the water's uses to digestive and metabolic complaints and high blood pressure, and the cure comes with its own diet, the Dieta Geresiana, followed with the help of an in-house nutrition centre. The treatment list runs from needle and Scotch showers to the Vichy shower massage, and the bathhouse sells its own cup for taking the water. The Hotel Águas do Gerês stands opposite the Termas and the Spa.
