Igal Gyógyfürdő
Drilling in the 1940s, expected to find oil, struck 81 °C water from 651 metres instead, and the bath opened its first two pools on 20 August 1962. Its two indoor and two outdoor thermal pools are filled with 76 °C medicinal water, and Igal became a certified spa town (gyógyhely) in 2016.

About Igal Gyógyfürdő
The first wells were sunk on the village's old market ground, and the two pools opened in 1962 were made usable in winter three years later. A swimming pool and three children's pools followed in 1967, and the council later bought the hillside around the bath to make room. Since 2008 a curved canopy has arched over the two outdoor thermal pools, so they can be used in any weather. The bath is wholly owned by the municipality, and the operator says Igal was the first certified spa town in Somogy county and the 26th in Hungary.
