Königliche Kristall-Therme Schwangau
Pools of thermal brine from 2.5 to 24% salt, at 33 to 37 °C, look out over the Alps, and the 24% outdoor pool lets bathers float as in the Dead Sea with a view of Neuschwanstein. The textile-free Wohlfühltherme adds saunas from 60 to 100 °C, among them the Kaisersaal sauna with 200 seats.

About Königliche Kristall-Therme Schwangau
The indoor pools carry royal names: the Königsbecken holds 5% brine with massage jets, and the Ludwigsbecken, at 2.5%, is where free water aerobics runs in winter and in bad weather. The Natronbecken is a soda pool, a type the operator says the Kristall group designed first. Outdoors, the Alpentherme sits in a park facing the Allgäu mountains, with an island bench in the middle and an 8.5 m bubble lounger, and from 31 October to 1 March it stays open until dark unless there is frost. Inside the textile-free area, the Kristall sauna is lined in pale maple around a large rock crystal.
