Weser-Therme Bad Karlshafen
A brine thermal bath on the Weser at Bad Karlshafen, filled from a state-recognised healing spring tapped in 2004 that raises brine from 1,150 m; the operator calls it Hesse's saltiest brine spring. Pools run from 1.5 % brine at 33 °C to two 12 % outdoor pools at 32 °C, all 1.30 m deep, and the textile-free Saunaland has a snow cave at minus 10 °C and an Ottoman hamam.

About Weser-Therme Bad Karlshafen
The salt in the brine was laid down in a primeval sea many millions of years ago, and the thermal restaurant boils some of it down into a salt that goes into its dishes and a locally made sausage. In the sauna garden, loungers line a strip of Weser beach, and a boat sauna sits on the river itself with a view of the Solling. The film roof over the thermal hall lets UV light through, so the operator advises sun cream even indoors. The swan in the logo belongs to Bad Karlshafen, and with luck you'll see one on the Weser.
