Kulttuurisauna
A public sauna on the Hakaniemi shore, heated with wood in a single-fired mass stove and open all year, with a sea swim and a hole in the ice in winter. Bathers keep conversation to the salon, courtyard or sea, and Friday evenings are silent shifts.

About Kulttuurisauna
The architect Tuomas Toivonen and the Japanese designer Nene Tsuboi designed the sauna, which stands in the shadow of the Merihaka high-rises. From its steps you look across to the historic buildings of Kruununhaka one way and the 1970s towers of Merihaka the other.
