Swimming in Ginetes
At the western end of São Miguel in the Azores, Ginetes is a village about 19 km north-west of Ponta Delgada. Below it, at Ponta da Ferraria, a lava delta meets the sea and a thermal spring warms a natural pool among the rocks at low tide. About 6 km east, the Sete Cidades crater holds the Blue and Green lakes, and a trail runs down into it from the Vista do Rei viewpoint.
