Questions about Portugal
Is the water warm at Ponta da Ferraria?
Near the spring, yes: the Azores Nature Parks give about 40 °C beside the spring at low tide. The sea itself is typically about 21 °C in October.
Can you drive down to Ponta da Ferraria?
Yes, again. The single road down was shut after a rockfall in September 2025 and reopened on 20 May 2026 with one-way traffic on lights; the regional government has said permanent slope works will follow.
