Swimming in Lampedusa

Out in the Mediterranean about 220 km south-west of Agrigento, Lampedusa is one of the Pelagie Islands. Spiaggia dei Conigli is a sand beach in the island's nature reserve, facing a small islet, where loggerhead turtles nest and entry is booked in summer. Legambiente, which runs the reserve, leads walks along its paths, and further west towards Capo Ponente are its other two beaches, Cala Galera and Cala Pulcino.
