Swimming in Favignana

Favignana is one of the Egadi Islands, about 20 km off Trapani at the western end of Sicily, and hydrofoils serve it from the Sicilian coast. Swimming on the east side is off tuff rock and inlets with no sand, while the south-east coast has a small bay of fine sand. The island is flat enough to get round by bike, and hire shops are near the port.
