Swimming in Baunei
Baunei sits in Ogliastra on Sardinia's east coast, about 45 km south-east of Nuoro, and its land runs north along the Gulf of Orosei. Cala Goloritzè is a walk down from the Golgo plateau under a limestone spire, and Cala Mariolu is a pebble cove between high cliffs. Boat trips along this coast leave from the harbour at Santa Maria Navarrese, about 13 km south.
