Swimming in Agia Pelagia
Agia Pelagia is a resort village on Crete's north coast, about 17 km from Heraklion airport. The village beach is a strip of sand at the head of a small north-facing bay. In Heraklion, about 13 km east, you can go inside the Koules, the Venetian fortress at the entrance to the old harbour.
