Swimming in Saint-Julien-le-Montagnier

Saint-Julien-le-Montagnier is a hilltop village in the north of the Var, on the far side of the Verdon from Gréoux-les-Bains, about 5 km away. Its lake beach is in a cove on the Lac d'Esparron, at the end of a long track from the Gréoux bridge. Up in the village, two windmills and a chapel stand by a viewing table over the plateaux, and a waymarked 4.5 km path loops round the hill.
