Swimming in Porquerolles

Porquerolles is one of the Îles d'Hyères, reached by a 15-minute ferry from La Tour Fondue at the tip of the Giens peninsula. Inside Port-Cros National Park, its beaches here lie west and east of the harbour village, with pine woods behind the sand. Bikes are for hire in the village, and an 8.8 km cycling loop of the island's forts starts with Fort Sainte-Agathe on the hill just above it.
