Swimming in Cap-d'Ail
Cap-d'Ail runs along the Monaco border about 11 km east of Nice, with a coastal path round its rocky shore. The path links its two beaches on this page: Plage Mala, a cove in the rocks at the western end, and Plage Marquet beside the port at the border. From Marquet it's about 1.5 km east to the Rock of Monaco, where the Oceanographic Museum's aquariums sit on the cliff above the sea.
