About Community Sauna Baths Walthamstow
The saunas go by names such as Octavia and Ursula, and Octavia is the one kept silent, while elsewhere on site the staff often play gentle music. Plunge Island holds four of the five cold plunges, up four steps; you step over a low lip and then down 65 cm into the water, and two of them have pool-style ladders. The whole site is laid with level wooden decking next to the community garden, and Sauna One and Octavia both have room for a wheelchair inside.
