Polichnitos is a village in the south-west of Lesvos, just south of the Gulf of Kalloni and about 32 km west of Mytilene as the crow flies. About 1.5 km outside the village, springs that rise through volcanic rock at 67 to 92 °C feed the Polichnitos thermal baths.
