About SaLü Salztherme Lüneburg

The pools borrow their names from the town: the Wasserviertel is named after the quarter that was Lüneburg's economic centre for centuries, and the toddlers' area, Lütter Stint, after its Stintmarkt. The Siederei sauna area takes its name from the town's salt-boiling tradition, and its entrance is a wall of blackthorn twigs and glowing salt blocks made to look like a graduation tower. In the Heidelauschen, the 4 % brine pool, music plays under water. In the Kurpark right behind the bath stands a real graduation tower, built in 1907 for breathing cures alone, with no part in salt production, and free to visit.
