OstseeTherme Usedom
Opened in March 1996 in the Kaiserbäder, the bath adds Heringsdorfer Jodsole, a 4 % iodine brine pumped from 408 m near the Heringsdorf pier and piped 1.5 km, to three of its six pools. The sauna world has two outdoor log-cabin saunas, one heated to 100 to 110 °C, with brine infusions several times a day.

About OstseeTherme Usedom
The steel lookout tower is the bath's landmark: a lift or 171 steps lead to a platform 20 m above sea level, with a view along the coast from the Heringsdorf pier to the cliffs at Misdroy in Poland and the breakwaters at Swinemünde. In the main pool a water grotto has two 6 m slides, and in the children's area a monkey spits water beside a hippo slide. Local legend says Thalata, a princess of the sea, found the brine spring, bathed in it every day and seemed to stay young forever.
