The sauna area wraps round a 100 m² textile-free outdoor brine pool and has a sauna built into the graduation tower in its sauna garden.

- The 100 m² outdoor brine pool in the sauna courtyard is textile-free. The whole sauna area is women only on Thursdays, except on holidays and during NRW school holidays, when it is mixed.

About Börde Therme Bad Sassendorf
The operator says the salt in its brine was laid down many millions of years ago in a prehistoric sea. In the sauna garden stands a graduation tower 73 m long and 10 m high, where brine trickles over blackthorn, and it can also be visited from the public side. The sauna built into it has oak walls hung with miners' lamps, and its lighting runs through a day and a night every 15 minutes. In the kelo-wood infusion sauna, built like a historic salt-boiling hut, a bell called Alfons rings five minutes before each hourly infusion.
