Emser Therme
A thermal bath on the Lahn in Bad Ems, part of the Great Spa Towns of Europe UNESCO listing since 2021, with seven indoor and outdoor pools over 700 m² of water at 18 to 38 °C. About Emser Therme
The water carries more than 30 minerals and trace elements, mostly hydrogen carbonate with sodium and chloride, and gentle evaporation of it makes the Emser Salz pastilles. The herbal steam bath atomizes chamomile, sage, peppermint and thyme from Sidroga, a tea firm based in Bad Ems. Out in the sauna park, the river sauna has paneling and porthole-style lamps for a yacht feel, and its windows face the weir, the Malberg and Silberau island. The World Heritage sauna, on the site of the old garden sauna, holds up to 110 people, with motifs from the town's landmarks worked into its design.
