About Spa Thermal Lédonia
The Romans called Lons-le-Saunier Ledo Salinarius, the salt town, and the baths still draw salty water: it comes from the Lédonia catchment at 17 °C, rich in sodium chloride and magnesium. A hydrotherapy centre has stood here since 1892, in the middle of the 7-hectare Parc des Bains, which the Terra Salina salt-heritage network credits to the architect Henri Michel. The building is arranged around a central porch with columns, and the park around it holds rare trees from five continents.
