Thermal baths in Stubičke Toplice

On the northern side of the Medvednica hills in Krapina-Zagorje county, Stubičke Toplice is a spa town about 18 km north of central Zagreb as the crow flies. Day visitors swim in the covered thermal pool of Hotel Wrello, run by the town's rehabilitation hospital, filled with water that rises at over 60 °C.

    The thermal water at Stubičke Toplice reaches 61.4 °C at the spring and has been analysed since 1772; the operator says it is paleo water more than 40,000 years old, filtered through the Medvednica hills.
