Thermal baths in Sapareva Banya

At the foot of the Rila Mountains in south-west Bulgaria, Sapareva Banya lies about 11 km east of Dupnitsa and 45 km south of Sofia as the crow flies. Aqua Club Kotvata has open-air mineral-water pools a short walk from the town's hot-water geyser. Above the Panichishte resort, about 5 km south-east, a chairlift carries walkers up towards the Seven Rila Lakes.
