Rogner Bad Blumau
Friedensreich Hundertwasser designed the resort as a liveable work of art with no corners, edges or straight lines. Its Vulkania spring rises from more than 3,000 m at 104 °C with 17.6 g of salt per litre and fills a 37 °C outdoor lagoon.

About Rogner Bad Blumau
Friedensreich Hundertwasser planned the resort with Robert Rogner, and its walkable grass roofs were covered with soil left over from the building work. No two of the 330 colorful columns are alike, and the brick house is built mostly from the bricks of old Bad Blumau farmhouses. The Vulkania spring does more than fill the pools: its water drives a turbine that has made the resort self-sufficient in electricity since 2001, then heats the buildings before it is injected back into the ground. Underwater music plays in the Vulkania lake, which the spring has fed since 2003.
