Swimming in Xlendi

At the bottom of a valley on Gozo's south-west coast, Xlendi is a seaside village about 3 km from Victoria. Xlendi Bay is the inlet it wraps around, where swimmers get in off the rocks, climbing down ladders into deep water. Up the valley road in Victoria, a walk round the ramparts of the Cittadella looks out over Gozo's hills and across the sea to Malta.
